Welcome ~ Fàilte
Located at Bught Park in the heart of Inverness, capital of the Scottish Highlands, Inverness Canoe Club's slalom course provides safe access to a slow-moving water environment for people of all ages.
While primarily aimed at lower competitive divisions and newcomers to the sport, it is open to all who are seeking to develop their skills in a sheltered environment.
From late September 2011, the course will also feature floodlighting along its entire length, therefore enabling evening training and recreational paddling to take place during the winter months when a lack of daylight makes other venues unsuitable.
In addition to its use as a training venue, a variety of slalom events/competitions will be held at the course each year; some of these will be run in conjunction with the Scottish Canoe Association and all will be open to people from across Scotland.
Use of the course is open to both members and non-members of Inverness Canoe Club; however, for safety purposes, we would ask that non-members only do so through organised community groups and associations who have access to the appropriate equipment, safety gear and suitably qualified coaches.
